Markus Henning leads an excursion through the LEED-certified Taunusanlage 8.

The excursion itself was supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Föste of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim / Holzminden / Göttingen. Markus Henning, Senior Consultant at the Alpha IC, led the presentation of Taunusanlage 8 to the students. They inspected the building from the basement to the roof.

The focus of the visit was on the technical installations in the basement. Above all, the energy supply and the energy concept as well as the ventilation system drew attention. In this system, the special feature is the innovative air ducting of the exhaust air. Here, the corridor ceiling space acts as an "exhaust duct".

Markus Henning also supervised and implemented the successful LEED certification for the T8 project. The LEED Platinum award has already been presented in 2017. The office tower is one of the most energy-efficient office buildings in Germany with its outstanding sustainability standards. The special features include optimal energy use, sustainable heating via geothermal energy and efficient water use through rainwater harvesting in the categories 'energy and atmosphere', 'water efficiency' and 'innovation in design'.
