Marieninsel - MarienTurm & MarienForum

Frankfurt am Main

Pecan Development has designed the "Marienturm" and "Marienforum" ensemble of buildings at the so-called "Marieninsel" in Frankfurt. Taking into account the specific situation at Taunusanlage and Mainzer Landstrasse, this outstanding commercial office property is to enhance this public urban space. On the approximately a 6,500 m² site, two structures are planned: the Marienturm with 44,900 m² and the Marienforum with 11,700 m² of rental space.

The energy concept for the building ensemble considers all the latest findings on the energy and resource conservation. Environmental effects are taken into account. The requirements of the 2016 Energy Saving Directive EnEV 2014 have already been met or surpassed.

Alpha IC was commissioned to guide the building LEED certification, with separate certification for the two buildings. A pre-assessment was carried out in August 2015 for both the Marienturm and the Marienforum according to the requirements of LEED. The precertification LEED Platinum was successfully implemented in April 2016.
