The Centro Tesoro of the Schwaiger Group GmbH in Munich has successfully completed LEED PLATIN certification, making it one of the top 18 percent of LEED-certified projects in Europe according to GBCI Europe. We congratulate everyone involved on this success and are delighted that we were able to be part of this exciting project with Patrick Mahler as LEED Consultant! The site of the former headquarters of Sektkellerei Nymphenburg in the Moosfeld industrial estate, which was acquired in 2016, consists of two main areas: the office area located in the north-west and the commercial area. Two storeys were added to the office floor above the commercial area in order to increase the building density with high-quality office space. As part of the revitalization of the existing building, the interior fit-out was completely renewed, the building's heating system was replaced and the existing cooling system was retrofitted. Factors such as the savings in grey energy through the revitalization, the high energy efficiency through insulation thicknesses above legal standards or the use of materials with low VOC and formaldehyde emissions in the interiors are just a few examples that led to the successful LEED PLATIN certification in 2021.
