In the aftermath of the UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh (COP27), climate researcher Professor Stefan Rahmstorf of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research comments, "Unfortunately, it was a lost year as far as emissions reduction is concerned, there is no progress."

The players in the real estate industry, which is responsible for about 40 percent of all CO² emissions, are even more called upon to act. The TH Nuremberg together with gefma Lounge Bayern-Nürnberg therefore invite to a panel discussion on Thursday, 08.12.2022 from 16 to 18 o'clock. We would like to encourage and provoke sustainable management in our respective concrete fields of action.

The topic is "Return on investment and sustainability. Limits and opportunities of a new value culture in the FM industry."

Under the direction of Professor Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Heying, the panel will discuss:

  • Anna Barth, Board of Gemeinwohlökonomie Bayern e.V., Member of the Future Neighborhoods Team, Nuremberg
  • Peter Engelbrecht, General Manager Dorfner Group, Nuremberg
  • Fabíola Fernandez, Co-CEO of Gegenbauer Holding SE & Co. KG, Berlin
  • Richard Weller, Managing Director Alpha IC GmbH, Bamberg
  • Dr. Isabelle Wrase, Head of MSc Real Estate & FM ZHAW, Co-President IFMA Switzerland, Zurich

After impulse statements, we will enter into discussion with you: Are returns and sustainability irreconcilable opposites? What is feasible, what can and must we change together to achieve the goal of climate neutrality? What can we do concretely as stakeholders in FM, what examples and initiatives are there? Join the discussion!

Before and after the event, there will be an opportunity for a get-together with drinks and snacks.

Here are the exact details of the venue for your journey: Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences Georg Simon Ohm, Paul-Metz-Saal, Gebäude KA, Keßlerplatz 12, 90489 Nuremberg.
