The headquarters of the Federal Institute for Real Estate (BImA) in Berlin will be completely renovated by 2030 under the management of the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning. The listed ensemble of various buildings between Fasanenstrasse, Hertzallee and Jebenstrasse, close to the Zoologischer Garten railroad station, is to be converted into a future-proof location for the authorities.
As Alpha IC, we are delighted to be able to contribute our consulting expertise in various areas to this project with a total cost volume of around 111 million euros and a total gross floor area of around 46,000 m². The plans envisage converting the building into a supra-regional training and conference center that meets the principles of sustainable construction and energy efficiency.
Thanks to our consistent focus on the sustainable transformation of the real estate portfolio to achieve the climate targets and our experience in this area, we are particularly motivated to be able to support the "Silver" certification for the ABD components, the Cranzbau and the outdoor facilities in this major project in accordance with the German Sustainable Building Council (BNB) guidelines. As part of the project work, we are preparing a life cycle assessment in several variants (LCA) and calculating the life cycle costs.
