Marko Opic, partner at Alpha IC and CAFM and BIM expert, was speaker at the CAFM Fair & Congress in Fulda at the end of June. His topic: "CAFM projects: From the idea to successful deployment". The congress is organised by "Der Facility Manager" in cooperation with GEFMA and CAFMRING.

In his presentation, he identified six factors for a successful CAFM implementation from his many years of consulting experience:

  1. It takes an effective FM organization in which responsibilities, processes and data management are clear.
  2. The will to change and to provide transparent information about it is there.
  3. The short-, medium- and long-term tasks for CAFM have been outlined and aligned with corporate development.
  4. The project is clearly outlined - the project team and budget are in place.
  5. Questions about data structure and consistency have been clarified.
  6. Cooperation between all parties involved is based on partnership and transparency.

In the further course, Marko Opic presented possible work steps of a CAFM introduction. As co-editor of the "Market Overview CAFM Software 2022" and member of the GEFMA committee "Digitalization", he was also able to provide his audience with plenty of orientation tools.

In his presentation, he elaborated on six factors for a successful CAFM implementation from his many years of consulting experience and added plenty of orientation tools.

We still wanted to know from our colleague Marko Opic what is new in the current edition of the "Market Overview CAFM Software 2022".
