Weisses Quartier in Munich

Munich's former Siemens campus on St.-Martin-Straße is home to the White Quarter, a building complex consisting of renovated offices and new buildings based on a sustainable concept and state-of-the-art building technology. In addition to workplaces, the Weiße Quartier offers quality of life thanks to restaurants, recreation areas and consistent climate friendliness. The existing building underwent extensive refurbishment between 2019 and 2025, resulting in a significant improvement in energy efficiency.

Alpha IC supported the project with regard to ESG and accompanied it until it received a LEED Platinum certificate, which was awarded among other things due to a high level of preservation, a reduction in the heat island effect through light-colored materials and water savings of 35-40% compared to a reference building.

Patrick Mahler, head of the project: “We are also proud to have helped find a pragmatic solution to many of the accompanying issues such as taxonomy, CRREM path or the gray energy of the façade.”
