We were there for the 2nd Global Real Estate Run on October 29, 2021, which is all about raising awareness among people inside and outside the real estate industry about the importance of the industry in achieving climate goals. For us, it was the second time we participated in the event, as we already slipped away from our desks into our running shoes on April 30, 2021. Together with our Swiss colleagues, ten people at Alpha IC each ran 6 km for a good cause. For every kilometer run, a tree is planted to offset CO2 emissions and make a long-term contribution to a more sustainable future. It is estimated that, on a global average, each tree can bind about 10 kg of CO2 annually. Through our participation, we were therefore able to make a further contribution to climate protection with an annual CO2 sequestration of 600 kg. Many thanks to our colleagues for this great result!
For us it was nice to create a sense of community despite the physical distance between our colleagues from Bamberg, Nuremberg, Munich, Cologne and Zurich, to participate as a team and to make a positive contribution to climate protection. This motivates us a lot!
We had a lot of fun participating and would like to thank the organizers of the event. We are already looking forward to our participation next year!
