Surgical Centre (OPZ) Clinic in Erlangen

The new construction of the operating theater at the Uniklinik Erlangen includes amongst other facilities 20 operating theaters (room class 1a), intensive care, radiology, laboratories, central sterilization, and research and teaching. The OPZ has an energy centre with combined heat and power, free cooling and back-up power supply systems. Heat and cooling supply are demand-oriented at different temperature levels. Ventilation and air conditioning require the interaction between heating / cooling ceilings and air conditioning systems with variable volume flows. The building automation accesses about 13,000 data points.
