After a construction period of 21 months in the Frankfurt banking district, the topping-out ceremony was celebrated with more than 300 people involved in the construction as well as 350 other guests. The raising of the wreath was accompanied by an aerial acrobatics show.
The project developer of the 155-meter-high of-fice building with 38 floors is Pecan Development GmbH. Completion is scheduled for early 2019. In addi-tion to office space, a public lunch restaurant,café, daycare and fitness centre will be built. The Marienturm is part of the office ensemble Marieninsel which also includes the already completed Marienforum.
Alpha IC was together with our partner Michael Dax at the topping-out ceremony.
After all, the Alpha IC was commissioned for the sustainability consulting and implementation of the Green Building certification according to the LEED system in "Platinum". With the platinum label, the Marienturm has reached the highest possible level of LEED recognition. The Marienturm was especially strong in the categories "sustainable location", "energy and water efficiency" and "interior quality". The implementation of low-emission building materials, the increase in thermal, visual and acoustic comfort support the well-being of future users, which is at the forefront of the Marienturm.
