Tendering and awarding successfully supported as part of a public-law cooperation for the further development of the justice center at the Konstablerwache in Frankfurt am Main

At the beginning of December, Landesbetrieb Bau und Immobilien Hessen (LBIH) announced the conclusion of a contract with the Hochtief Group for the construction and operation of two new buildings for the Frankfurt am Main justice center as part of a public-private partnership model (PPP). The plan is for Hochtief to construct the new buildings with a gross floor area of 38,500 square meters, which will house the public prosecutor's office, the public prosecutor general's office, the higher regional court and the regional court, by mid-2027 and operate them for 30 years. The land will remain the property of the state. Alpha IC was responsible for the tendering and awarding of the management services for this project with an investment volume in the three-digit million range, which will run for 30 years after completion of the new building. The three-year collaboration with the client, LBIH, was characterized by a very cooperative relationship against the backdrop of very complex requirements. Not only were there special usage requirements from various users and the public, but the demolition and new construction were to take place during ongoing judicial operations.the two new judicial buildings on Heiligkreuzgasse and Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse will also meet the highest sustainability standards.

Large-scale photovoltaic systems are installed on the usable roof areas. The buildings are supplied with district heating, which is fed into the rooms via modern heating and cooling ceilings. Our project manager, Marko Opić, and our colleague on the project, Senior Consultant Tanja Agatz, are pleased to know that the project is on track before the end of the year: "With these two buildings, one of Germany's most important justice centers will have adequate new premises. We are pleased and proud that our work has helped to ensure high-quality, safe and efficient operations for the next three decades."
