The ZERO. Stuttgart is a multi-storey office building made from prefabricated timber modules, which is being built on a former factory site in the Möhringen district. Modern and sustainable offices for a good 400 people are being created on an area of around 14,700 square meters. Completion is planned for May 2025.

The aim of this building is to achieve DGNB Gold certification, taxonomy conformity in accordance with the main objective of climate protection and the Sustainable Building Quality Seal (QNG-Plus). Alpha IC has successfully supported and implemented the certification processes as well as various sustainability certificates such as the life cycle assessment, material ecology test, recyclability, building resource passport and climate risk analysis.

The planning guiding principle for the ZERO project was “With vision into the future”. Here is a summary of the special features of this sustainable office complex:

  • Sustainability: the recyclable office building is made of regional timber and uses an integral energy and ventilation concept. Almost 300 room elements are combined to form a flexible, CO2-saving whole. An ice store, heat pump and solar system ensure the use of renewable energy sources.
  • User orientation: the focus is on people. The building is developed in close cooperation with the users in order to create an attractive working environment. Design: In line with the “design follows function” approach, the result is outstanding architecture that meets the highest aesthetic standards and blends seamlessly into its surroundings.
  • Smart-tech: To ensure efficient operation, ZERO. has sophisticated building technology, including a passive ventilation concept.
  • Bau-Wise: Prefabricated room modules made of certified solid wood, which are assembled on site ready for use, increase the efficiency and quality of the building, while reducing waste, construction time and on-site stresses.

Quote from Niklas Humm, CPM GmbH Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement:

In working with Alpha IC, I enjoy the fact that I can rely on the fact that the many necessary threads are brought together and tracked in one place. This makes it much easier for me to deal with the time-consuming and complex issue of DGNB and QNG certification.
